Terms and conditions governing the use of the iJoin mobile app.

  1. INTRODUCTION

    2. iJoin is a mobile application (“App”) operated by Singtel. By accessing or using this App, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, including any amendments that may be made from time to time.

    Singtel reserves the right to modify, change or update these terms and conditions at any time.

    Amendments to these terms and conditions will take effect when posted on the App. Your continued use of the App thereafter represents your agreement to the amendments. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before using this App.

  2. DATA PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

    3. Singtel understands that privacy is important to you. The App collects various types of information about you, including your personal data. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, “personal data” shall have the meaning given to it in the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

    2.1 The information we collect

    The App collects the following information from you:
    1. Your name.
    2. Your email address.
    3. A photograph or image of yourself.
    4. Your preferences, e.g. your favourite snacks and interests.

    2.2 How we use your information

    We use your information to:
    1. Personalise and digitise your onboarding experience by allowing you to complete pre-boarding tasks and giving you access to information about working in Singtel before your first day.
    2. Identify you as a Singtel hire and give you access to the App.
    3. Create an employee profile and staff pass for when you join Singtel.

    2.3 By using this App, you consent to Singtel collecting and using your personal data for the purposes stated above.

  3. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION, PASSWORD AND SECURITY

    4. By using the App, you represent, warrant and/or agree that:

    3.1 Any and all information you provide is true and correct, and you remain fully responsible for the accuracy of the information given;

    3.2 You shall use the App in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. You shall not disclose to any person your password and shall not permit or authorise any person to use your login name or password for any purpose whatsoever. Singtel may treat any access to or use of the App at any time by the use of your login name and password as access to or use of the App by you, notwithstanding that it may have been used by any other person without your knowledge or authority; and

    3.3 Singtel takes certain industry-accepted precautions to secure the App or portions thereof. However, you agree that such precautions do not guarantee that use of the App is invulnerable to all security breaches, nor does Singtel make any warranty, guarantee, or representation that use of the App is protected from all viruses, worms, Trojan horses, and other vulnerabilities.

  4. LIABILITY

    5. 4.1  This App and all information contained in it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Singtel disclaims all or any express or implied warranties of any kind, including but not limited to, warranties about accuracy, completeness, correctness, fitness or suitability for any purpose in relation to the App as well as the information contained therein.

    4.2  Singtel does not guarantee that access to this App will be uninterrupted or error free. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable laws, Singtel on behalf of its directors, officers, employees, suppliers, licensors and service providers, excludes and disclaims liability for any losses and expenses of whatever nature and howsoever arising including, without limitation, any and all direct and indirect loss, liability, costs and/or damage in respect of any matter howsoever arising (whether in tort, negligence or otherwise) under and in connection with the provision and/or use of the App and content, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of use, loss of data, economic loss, general, special, punitive, incidental, direct and indirect and consequential damages.

    4.3 Subject always to 4.2., to the extent that Singtel’s liability cannot be limited or excluded by the above, its aggregate and cumulative liability is limited to one dollar only (S$1).

  5. INDEMNITY

    6. 5.1 You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Singtel, its directors, officers, employees, suppliers, licensors, agents, and any third party content providers, from and against any losses, damages, claims, costs, expenses, demands, and actions, occasioned by or howsoever arising out of your use of or access to the App, your violation of these terms and conditions, or your violation of any rights of another. These obligations will survive any termination of your relationship with Singtel or your use of the App. Singtel reserves the right to assume the defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which event you will cooperate with Singtel in asserting any available defences.

  6. GENERAL AND OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    7. 6.1 If any provision of these terms and conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, then such provision shall (so far as it is invalid or unenforceable) be given no effect and shall be deemed not to be included in these terms and conditions without invalidating any of the remaining provisions of these terms and conditions.

    6.2 No failure or delay by Singtel in exercising any right or remedy provided by law under or pursuant to these terms and conditions shall impair such right or remedy or operate or be construed as a waiver or variation of it or preclude our exercise at any subsequent time and no single or partial exercise of any such right or remedy shall preclude any other or further exercise of it or the exercise of any other right or remedy. Our rights and remedies under or pursuant to these terms and conditions are cumulative, may be exercised as often as we consider appropriate and are in addition to our rights and remedies under general law.

    6.3 These terms and conditions and the relationship between you and Singtel shall be governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of Singapore. In respect of any legal action or proceedings arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions of this App, you shall irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. That submission shall not affect the right of Singtel to institute proceedings in any other jurisdiction.

    6.4 Your use of the App is voluntary, and you may choose to discontinue your use of the App at any time.

    6.5 You agree and consent to having Singtel to contact you to obtain feedback about the App and/or any other matters related thereto.

    6.6 By clicking on “Continue” and using the App, you agree to be bound by and comply with the terms and conditions. Singtel may, at any time, in its sole discretion and without prior notice or liability to you, vary, modify and/or amend the terms and conditions of this App. You agree to review the terms and conditions of this App periodically for changes and updates. To determine when these terms and conditions were last revised, please refer to the “Last Revision Date” stated at the beginning of these terms and conditions.
